Our Mission

The Fire IT intern program began in November of 2021 when we started with our very first intern, Carissa Montes. We quickly added Andres Mendez in that same month. The work both interns performed has been so helpful that we quickly expanded to our current staffing level of 10 interns. Here at Fire IT, we handle over 1,500 mobile devices as well as provide IT support to the entire Fire Department for the City of San Diego. Each intern has a special project where they perform a task and then also provide a budget analysis and do a presentation of the cost benefit of their activity. They are learning hardware, software, database management, expense analysis and more on our team. I could not be more proud of these interns and the work that they are doing to support our mission.
